The Designer Jérôme Coste from Paris grew up in the world of mechanical sports. He developed a fascination for motor sport champions and a passion for motorcycle helmets and began to collect them.

in 2001 he created a brand of helmets, mixing classic design with modern technology and high quality in different colors and designs.

  • In 2004 he chooses the name «Ruby» for his idea and creates his first model - the «Pavillon». During the following time, technical and productional questions should be solved. It was to take another 2 years until the breakthrough comes in 2006
  • In 2007, the company «The Studio Pilote SAS» under the trademark «Ateliers Ruby» is established and the first «Pavillon» debuts in October 2007 in the store «Colette» in Paris.
  • In 2009, the 2nd model, the «Belvedere» makes its way into the portfolio of «Ateliers Ruby». In addition, a short program launches with legendary designer Maison Martin Margiela and Eley Kishimoto, as well as american motorcycle brand Confederate and Ruby got a special license for SpongeBob (© Nickelodeon).

  • In 2010, Karl Lagerfeld uses 9 unique helmets for his fashion show (collection Fall / Winter 2009-10), and thereafter, a limited edition of 200 Lagerfeld helmets with tweed surface make their way to the stores. Furthermore, there is a series of helmets in different colors, specially created for the 2010 Classical Car Rally «Tour Auto».

  • In 2011, the 2010 model «Belvedere Marceau», is used for a TV spot shooting for «CHANEL Coco Mademoiselle» with Keira Knightley. In the same year, the «Pavillon Concorde» is a requisite in the movie „wall street - money never sleeps“ by director Oliver Stone. In addition, three special versions inspired by Sofia Coppola, are becoming part of the collection Louis Vuitton «Resort 2012».

  • For the 5th anniversary of Les Ateliers Ruby in 2012, we introduce the «Castel», the first full face model. In addition, we introduce new accessories to the line of «Ateliers Ruby». The peak «Éclipse®» visor, made from carbon and available in different colors, as well as the «Visage» and «Visa®» for Pavillon models.
